This Marketing Consent notice explains what you agree to when you choose to receive marketing communications from GOOD KEEPING SOLUTIONS LLC, a Florida limited liability company with a principal address at 1909 Thetford Cir, Orlando, Florida 32824, United States (“GoodKeeping,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Questions about marketing preferences may be sent to hello@goodkeeping.com.
## 1. Marketing Consent Is Optional
Consent to receive marketing communications is optional.
The marketing-consent choice is separate from:
- accepting the Terms of Service;
- acknowledging the Privacy Policy;
- creating an account;
- joining an Organization;
- using the Free plan;
- participating in a product trial;
- purchasing a paid subscription; and
- selecting cookie preferences.
Declining or withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent you from creating or using a GoodKeeping account or purchasing the Service.
The marketing-consent option will not be treated as accepted unless you affirmatively select or enable it.
## 2. Communications Covered by Your Consent
When you opt in, GoodKeeping may send you marketing communications concerning:
- product news and feature announcements;
- information about GoodKeeping services;
- bookkeeping and financial-workflow guidance;
- educational content and product tips;
- plan and pricing information;
- promotions and special offers;
- events, demonstrations, and webinars;
- surveys and product research;
- customer stories and service updates;
- invitations to provide feedback; and
- other GoodKeeping business communications reasonably related to the Service.
Marketing communications may be based on information such as:
- the contact information you provided;
- whether you have an account;
- your Organization type;
- your role;
- the plan or product area associated with your account;
- your prior interactions with GoodKeeping marketing;
- your stated interests; and
- general engagement with GoodKeeping’s website or communications, where permitted.
GoodKeeping does not use uploaded financial documents, transaction descriptions, accounting records, or private Organization workspace content to determine marketing audiences.
## 3. Communication Channels
This consent primarily covers marketing email sent to:
- the email address associated with your account;
- the email address submitted through a contact or enquiry form; or
- another email address that you expressly provide for marketing purposes.
GoodKeeping will not interpret consent to marketing email as consent to receive marketing telephone calls or text messages where separate consent is required.
Any future consent for text messages, automated calls, or another separately regulated communication channel will be requested independently.
## 4. Operational Communications Are Separate
GoodKeeping may send communications needed to provide, secure, and administer the Service regardless of your marketing preference.
Operational communications may include:
- account verification;
- authentication and sign-in messages;
- password and security notices;
- invitations to join an Organization;
- task and workflow notifications;
- document requests;
- transaction-review reminders;
- comments and collaboration notices;
- service and maintenance announcements;
- billing and subscription messages;
- payment receipts and failure notices;
- trial-status notices;
- cancellation confirmations;
- legal or policy notices;
- privacy-request communications; and
- customer-support responses.
These messages are not treated as marketing merely because they concern your account or use of the Service.
GoodKeeping will not add unrelated promotional content in a manner that misleadingly presents a primarily commercial message as an operational message.
## 5. Frequency
Marketing frequency may vary depending on:
- product releases;
- educational campaigns;
- events;
- promotions;
- service developments;
- your interests; and
- your interaction with prior communications.
GoodKeeping does not guarantee a fixed marketing schedule.
We aim to keep marketing communications relevant and proportionate. Opting in does not obligate GoodKeeping to send a minimum number of messages.
## 6. How We Record and Use Your Preference
GoodKeeping may maintain a record of:
- whether you opted in;
- the email address associated with the choice;
- the source through which the choice was submitted;
- the date and time of the choice;
- the applicable consent wording or version;
- changes to the preference;
- unsubscribe requests; and
- suppression information needed to honor an opt-out.
We use this information to:
- determine whether marketing may be sent;
- honor your communication preferences;
- demonstrate how and when the preference was recorded;
- prevent marketing after an opt-out;
- manage marketing lists; and
- comply with applicable law.
GoodKeeping may retain a limited suppression record after you unsubscribe so that your opt-out is not accidentally reversed or lost.
Additional information about retention and privacy rights appears in the Privacy Policy.
## 7. Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw marketing consent at any time by:
- selecting the unsubscribe link in a marketing email;
- changing an available marketing preference in your account;
- replying through an unsubscribe method provided in the message; or
- emailing hello@goodkeeping.com.
GoodKeeping will not require you to:
- pay a fee;
- purchase a service;
- provide unnecessary personal information;
- explain why you are unsubscribing; or
- complete an unreasonable number of steps.
Where an email-address confirmation is reasonably necessary to identify the affected marketing record, GoodKeeping may request that confirmation.
Withdrawal applies to future marketing communications after the request has been processed. GoodKeeping will process opt-out requests promptly and no later than the period required by applicable law.
Withdrawing consent does not affect:
- marketing communications lawfully sent before withdrawal;
- operational communications;
- legal notices;
- security notices;
- billing communications; or
- support responses.
## 8. Effect of Account or Organization Changes
Deleting an account, leaving an Organization, cancelling a subscription, or deleting an Organization may affect account-related communications but does not necessarily identify or remove every separate marketing or contact record.
For example, an email address submitted through a public contact form may be maintained separately from a later-created account.
You may withdraw marketing consent directly at any time regardless of account or Organization status.
A verified privacy request concerning separate contact or marketing records may be submitted as described in the Privacy Policy.
## 9. Marketing Providers
GoodKeeping may use service providers to:
- deliver marketing communications;
- manage mailing lists;
- record consent and unsubscribe activity;
- measure delivery and engagement;
- manage campaigns;
- prevent duplicate communications; and
- maintain suppression records.
Providers may process contact and communication information only as reasonably necessary for the services they perform, subject to applicable contractual, confidentiality, security, and legal requirements.
GoodKeeping does not sell your email address or provide it to another company for that company’s independent direct marketing.
## 10. Commercial Email Standards
GoodKeeping intends its marketing emails to:
- accurately identify GoodKeeping as the sender;
- use accurate sender and routing information;
- avoid deceptive subject lines;
- identify the commercial nature of a message where required;
- provide a functioning unsubscribe method;
- include a valid physical postal address; and
- honor valid opt-out requests within the period required by law.
GoodKeeping remains responsible for marketing emails sent on its behalf even where a service provider assists with delivery or campaign administration.
## 11. Cookie Preferences Are Separate
Marketing email consent and browser-cookie preferences are separate choices.
You may:
- consent to marketing email while rejecting Marketing cookies; or
- permit Marketing cookies while unsubscribing from marketing email.
Cookie and browser-technology choices are described in the Cookie Policy.
## 12. Privacy Rights
The Privacy Policy explains:
- what personal information GoodKeeping collects;
- how that information is used;
- how it may be disclosed;
- how long it may be retained;
- how to request access or correction;
- how to request deletion;
- how to withdraw consent; and
- how to submit a privacy request.
Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent you from exercising any other applicable privacy right.
## 13. Changes to This Notice
GoodKeeping may update this Marketing Consent notice to reflect changes in:
- communication practices;
- marketing channels;
- consent controls;
- service providers;
- legal requirements; or
- business operations.
The “Last Updated” date identifies the current version.
A prior consent will not be extended to a materially different communication channel or materially broader marketing purpose where new consent is required.
Where an updated use requires a new affirmative choice, GoodKeeping will request that choice before relying on it.
